Be it “Hi… my name is….” or “I’m not afraid”, he has won the appraisal of audience as well as the discontentment of critics. No matter what, Marshall Bruce Mathers III or better known by his stage name EMINEM is regarded as one of the best rappers of modern euphony other than TUPAC SHAKUR, NOTORIOUS BIG, NWA etc.
The internet is buzzing with the top 10 tracks which have the conventional ones topping the charts, of course they’re staple of the art but being an EMINEM fan doesn’t mean to rap alongside the most famous tracks and forget about the sober ones, so here is the list of the top 10 EMINEM tracks which compel us rap along with the music :-
10. RAP GOD
Unarguably the most iconic track since 2013, this 6minutes 4seconds long track exhibits his genius persona, not to mention it was recorded as the fastest verse in the Guiness Book of World Records. Fans all over the world have tried rapping the lines “summa lumma dooma lumma you assuming I’m a human”.
And seriously we’ve failed numerous times!
9. RHYME OR REASON
“What’s your name, who’s your daddy”, another set pieces from the vast spectrum of lyrics by the rap god, this track describes the agony and sense of revenge the rapper has for his father who left him when he was a few months old, the lines “so yeah dad lets walk, lets have a father and son talk” sends chills up the spine for good.
Revenge is sweet!
8. ROLE MODEL
Just imagine your all time superstar or favourite personality insisting you to become just like him/her! Well, EMINEM does that by asking the listeners “don’t you wanna grow up to be just like me”. Despite being surrounded by numerous controversies, the rapper takes us to a dark journey telling about his exploits and the reactions he got from the whole world.
What happens when you get obsessed with your role model so much that you forget the rest of the world? Stan reflects a story about an obsessed fan who does everything to get EMINEM’S attention, and ends up killing himself in rage.
The song was a massive hit among the fans and ever since the fans are better known as STANS.
6. I NEED A DOCTOR
It’s a well known fact that EMINEM and DR. DRE have been an awesome duo whenever the hip hop industry has called upon, right from their first track “MY NAME IS”, they’ve set fire to the mic everytime.
I need a doctor shows the helplessness of DR. DRE as he is in a coma all thanks to an accident with his Ferrari, it dawns upon EMINEM to save DRE from the jaws of death and he does so with flawlessness.
5. ONE SHOT TWO SHOT
“One shot two shots three shots four shots all I hear is gunshots, this is where the fun stops”, well the fun might have stopped in the song but it is funny as hell, based upon a shootout scenario our beloved rapper is trapped with the members of D12. Each verse is a scene worth beholding, comic moments are perfectly timed and EMINEM is yet again at the top.
His humor levels are upto the brim, even in a gun battle…DAMN!
4. MY BAND
Lets admit the fact that every band has some or atleast one member who hates the lead singer, but what if the whole band hates you for your stage time. My Band, another track of EMINEM with D12 focuses on EMINEM’S extravagant lifestyle being the lead singer of his band, while the other members…
THEY’RE NOT SO HAPPY……
PS:- THE LAST VERSE IS AWESOME!
3. HALIE’S SONG
A father’s love for his daughter is by far the best thing in this world and EMINEM has perfectly shown his love for his “little girl” Halie Mathers. But the thing which makes this track even more beautiful is the fact that the rapper has rapped in the last verse only, he has sung the first two.
NOW I GUESS ALL THOSE CHEESY FANS WILL GO AWWWWW!
2. CLEANING OUT MY CLOSET
“Have you ever been hated or discriminated against…?” his first question from the very first line of the song put us into stasis, EMINEM spatted out all the agony and anger he had for his mother who he believed was the sole reason behind his dark past. The song was well received by the critics and spanned controversies around the artist, even his own mother filed a lawsuit which she lost eventually..
DARK REALITIES HAUNT US FOREVER!!
1. SING FOR THE MOMENT
“They say music can alter moods and talk to you, well can it load a gun for you and cock it too!” this epic track from the album THE EMINEM SHOW deserves the first spot because of the serious message it carries, striking the core of music industry, the taunts of critics, the hatred of angered fans, the rapper has shown everybody’s darkest side and is probably my favourite track of all times, a striking blow to the mindsets of parents who believe hip hop is all about skanky ladies, drugs and money. EMINEM beats them all with three verses of probably the best lyrics after LOSE YOURSELF.
AND BY THE WAY HAPPY EMINEM DAY!!!!
