Comics give a whole new class Superheroes! And their valor goes without a saying, given the movie marvels we have been generously blessed with.
Not delaying further, let’s talk about the best comic-movie adaptations that you’ve got to watch. Literally, chilling!
X-MEN: THE LAST STAND
When mutants aren’t what they’re supposed to be, then all that needs to be fought is an extremely uphill battle! Story? Hit. Script? Ambitious. Action? Double- hit! The director Brett Ratner has indeed created a serious action-packed melodrama trilogy. Read the comic, watch the movie, and laugh through the film.
Why? Because you simply must.
MEN IN BLACK
If one could ever write praises of the highest order, please dedicate them to Will Smith. Published far back in 1990, this comic series is the one that has ruled our childhood. And the movies – equally brilliant! When the first movie was released, Marvel comics published here new issues of “Men in Black”, all written by series creator Lowell Cunningham.
The comic book is basically an imagination of scary creatures, UFOs, life-death situations, more UFOs and men traveling through eras in these UFOs. Best
He is every girl’s dream guy. It’s probably because of him that “Friendzone” came into existence. Orphan, eccentric, tech-savvy, billionaire, the superhero of Gotham city rules that hearts of frankly, every DC and non-DC fan.
Some movies can be watched again, and again, and again, and Batman stands tall and proud in this list. Considering Nicholson’s dynamic portrayal of the Joker, and Michael Keaton’s’ surprisingly fantastic Batman, it is probably the best Batman movie ever made.
Let’s all take a minute to appreciate the creator’s work. Iron Man is a starring role and with its top-notch content. The hero didn’t particularly receive a high recommendation in the comic, his main purpose being the union of Avengers. But the movies say otherwise! Although the artwork isn’t that star-like, then it’s never been less than great!
The movie is not very adequately adapted from the comics, it’s merely overlapping at some points. Referring to it as an adaptation is an exaggeration unless taken virtually. Although, the movie does show some major plot points and death scenes from the comics.
Although the movie is a huge hit as compared to the comics, yet there is something about their individuality that cannot be portrayed.
Our Recommendation: Try Both!
Perhaps the lifeline of the DC Universe lies in the hands of their braves Kryptonian superhero, Superman. It undoubtedly stands tall as the “best childhood memory” of most 90’s born. There are not enough praises to say, perhaps a masterpiece by Grant Morrison.
The movies are exceptional too, every bit of comic hero’s character is given justice. Even with Superman’s powers that literally make him God, he has such a modest behavior and follows moral code at all times. Owing to an unbeatable intelligence, he can decode the entire human genome with speed of light! Even with his powers, his loneliness and love seem inseparable. To quote his words from comic,
“AS SHE SPOKE, I WATCHED 35,000 DEAD SKIN CELLS SCATTERING LIKE CONFETTI…LIKE PROMISES…LIKE THE DUST OF THE DEAD STARS.”
He is such a cursed creature, yet most powerful and omnipotent. God, he is such a darling!
This should be declared as the COOLEST COMIC TO HAVE EVER EXISTED. Damn words fall short when the Marvel universe unties to defeat enemies. Explosions, and wars, and intense action, and thriller, and some more explosions the heart of the comic as well as readers.Highly recommended to watch all the movies and please, in a proper sequence.
Don’t destroy the essence of Marvel movies by watching haphazardously!
Ever comic is a small or big universe of its own. We have discovered so much and yet comics show what we truly want to discover. And a huge thanks to every dreamer who worked on these comics and movies and showed us “that we all contain a universe within ourselves”.
