As we are heading towards the end of this year, if we look back at the calendar of 2017 there is so much that defied humanity and peace. The irony is, at some places the virtual masculinity destroyed the essence of feminism and on the other hand the irrelevant faith of saving God who himself is the creator has resulted in religious clashes. The world has become the opposite of what God wanted it to be!
1-ROHTAK GANG RAPE: THE EXTREMITY OF BRUTALITY THAT MARKED IRRELEVANT VICTORY OF CRUELTY OVER LOVE.
11th May, 2017 divulged a deep trauma for the society when the body of a 20-year-old Dalit woman was found by the police in an unpredictable condition. The woman was gang raped and killed in Haryana’s Rohtak allegedly. After the inhuman crime, they smashed her face with a brick and run their car over her body to make it unidentifiable. Her body when found, was bitten by stray dogs completely. The incident shook the pillars of the law and order of the country. The only thing that could be done was a candle march or social media outrage that was unfortunately of no use.
2-SWISS COUPLE ATTACKED IN AGRA’S FATEHPUR SIKRI, DESTROYED THE TRADITION THAT GUESTS ARE EQUIVALENT TO GOD.
22nd October 2017 brought India enough humiliation for the nation to be ashamed of it’s ancestral tradition. A Swiss couple visited Agra and was attacked by a group of five men at Fatehpur Sikri. They were pelted with sticks and stones. This incident came up as a matter of shame for the government.
3-90 MURDERED BY TERRORISTS IN KABUL, WHAT ELSE DOES ISIS NEEDS TO DO TO PROVE THAT ISLAM ISN’T THE PROBLEM?
It was the holy month of Ramadan when after the entire day of fasting, people had done their call to prayers, a frightening bomb blast took place in the busy street. A car packed with explosives was detonated, killing almost 90 people and leaving 400 injured. People were filled with divinity and peace, and this incident shook Kabul and exposed that terrorists have no religion.
4-PRIME MINISTER THERESA ANNOUNCES TO FIGHT AGAINST ISLAMIST EXTREMISM AFTER LONDON BRIDGE ATTACKS.
On 3rd June,2017 a group of assailants rented a white Renault van, moved towards people on the London Bridge and attacked them with knives. Moreover, three attackers were wearing suicide belts and were shot dead within eight minutes of call to emergency. The sudden attack by the group left seven people dead with 48 injured and was the third terrorist attack in three months. The loss of lives forced the Prime Minister to announce, “Enough is Enough.”
5-GAURI LANKESH MURDER: TEACHERS DAY IN INDIA WAS WRAPPED WITH THE MOST BRUTAL INCIDENT.
Where on one hand the country was celebrating Teachers Day, 5th September came as a darker phase when Karnataka based journalist and activist Gauri Lankesh was murdered by three men who shot her dead with at least seven bullets. It was another shock to the society that led to many protests all over the country.
6-THE BARCELONA ATTACK THAT TREMBLED SPAIN.
17th August,2017 was a jolting day for Spain and Barcelona, killing 16 people and injuring over 130 people from 34 different nations. After three days of continuous fear, the 22-year-old Younes Abouyaaqoub was killed by police on 21st August. Five other suspects were shot dead and four additional suspects were detained. Spain did not see morning and peace for three days till the terror continued.
7-PRADYUMAN THAKUR CASE: A DISGRACE TO THE SOCIETY WHEN A CLASS 2ND STUDENT WAS MURDERED ALLEGEDLY.
Children are the incarnation of God and it’s disheartening to see the murder of an innocent child. Pradyuman was murdered on 8th September,2017 at Ryan International School. His neck was slashed with a knife twice with cruelty. After investigations, the police arrested an XI standard boy who as per the CBI killed Pradyuman to postpone the exams and parent teacher meeting. Many protests took place pleading for justice, but the young child died without any fault.
Destruction, brutality and hatred hit the calendar of 2017 all over the globe. India or Spain, Kabul or London all have faced incidents that display inhuman behavior for power.
